I just called and ordered some parts. I asked if and when they were going to stop selling the wastegated sidewinder turbos.. Not this year but in the future..... Funny how things change as the econumic climate chnages. I talked to several people at Banks about 18 months ago about this and they had planned to drop the line as of Jan 1st... That never happened so rest at ease. They still sell there stuff.... For now... Note to self... Buy spare parts for the just in case down the road....:D

I fixed it fer ya Gary.:D

That's good to know. Maybe there's been enough interest in the market to keep em pushing out some parts since they're affordable upgrades for the economical diesel user.

LOL. With the way emissions are, the older diesels might be the only thing that we can play with.

I was reading some off road diesel engines on the Deere site. Man, I was shocked that off road will have regeneration soon (if not all ready). I know that the new diesels you can get more power w/ just a flick of a button, but there is something about the old diesels....

Dude.....:D I'm sure someone at the rally will be taking pictures of how I'm storing whats behind my rear seat. I still have plenty of room for more too...cookoo Banks always talks to me. I live about 15 miles from the store and usually drive up there for my parts. I really don't have any Banks spare parts behind the seat....

That rebuilt Banks wqastegated sidewinder isn't behind the seat. Its a spare turbo for anything down the line. I may be building another motor and that will go on it... Maybe... I also found and bought the large Banks cast iron manifold that the turbo mounts on really cheap. It has all the mounts on it so its a direct bolt up ready to go... Someday... I really like spare parts on the cheap....:sly
