Anyone use an AAM axel under their IDI

Thinking of throwing an AAM axel out of a duramax or newer cummins with 3.73 under my IDI. Anyone ever go this route? Would give me disc brakes and the same lug pattern as my D60. Anyone ever go the 3.73 route withe their D60? I know there will be some fab work but I don't mind.

are you thinking about cutting the two driveshafts from the ford and the aam axle and having a profesional weld them and make it balanced? if not that wouldnt really be that hard.

Thinking about just using the rear and getting new gears for the front. Will do whatever I have to to the drive shaft.

mine got 3.73s in it and they pull ok could be better but i dont pull heavy much and highway speeds 75 is where i cruise easy
