Many kits are designed to do both remote start and keyless entry along with anti-theft. Although I don't have first hand experience with many of them and I'm not sure what system you have in your truck.

If you can identify the correct make and model, you may be able to get a new remote programmed for it (assuming it's not obsolete). The FOB for my Mom's remote starter lost it's long range capability a while back and I was able to buy a new transmitter and bind it to the old receiver.

That's a good point. Even if you can find an obscure model number you may be able to turn something up on Google. If you find any markings and can't identify it post up detailed pictures of the numbers/markings and I'll see what I can drum up. It's not perfect, but my google-fu is pretty decent lol!

My van actually had a fedgov GPS tracker on it. The vehicle was used to ****** nuclear weapons convoys by the DOE before I got it. The GPS device was attached to the inner side of the front bumper, used batteries, and had two 1/4” mounting holes. It went into the trash. There were a lot of cool James Bond mods done to the vehicle. I kept the tail light blackout mod.

Hell, they left enough goodies that I could have set up my own National Defense Area and possibly entered some restricted areas. Unfortunately, the weapons racks and night vision cases were empty.

Remove that and attach it to a migratory bird, let the government spend tax dollars following the bird around!

You felt the need to warn him not to go over 88 on a forum for the 6.9/7.3 idi? If he can make it over 88 my hat's off to him!
