Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to install a 7 pin and 4 pin connector on my truck, however I’m seeing very confusing info during my research.
So my truck has a trailer brake controller wired into the plug under the dash.
I have read that there are two connectors under the bumper for the 7 pin, which I do have as capped off wires.
Another thing I read was that there are supposed to be some relays or stuff next to the fuse box in the engine compartment, I don’t see any of that on my truck though. And I also have this harness that comes out of the fuse box(8 wires in the plug), splits off to go to what looks like a sensor in my brake line right around the pig tail thing(2 wires go to that), and then goes under the truck along the frame rail, and cuts off with 4 dangling wires. At the start of the harness it has a tag that says ford p260g. What is that harness? And how can I install a 4 and 7 pin combo plug? And where does the brake controller go after the dash plug? Thanks.

the ford have pigtails under the rear bumper.
4 vs 7 pin is just a splice it in situation
note there are 2 color codes 1 is sae the other is traditional
verify your trailers setup first
