Put in a cb today
That`s a nice clean looking cab.
10-4 there good buddy.

back is about 72 bought my first CB, a SBE Side Bander II 23 channel. That`s what we had back then, and all the CB Breakes (GTG`s) was a lot of fun back then.

Later when 40 Channels came out converted the SBE to 40 channel`s and some upper channels with the flip of a toggle. OH, and a 100 watt Liner.
Had it in my 67 VW, had a k40 antenna mounted on the hood in front of the windshield. Removed the VW Emblem and drilled a hole in the Hood.

One afternoon in Los Gatos, Ca, I was talking to a guy in FW TX on my way home.

Wiring. Got my cab clearance lamps plumbed into the running lights. Got glow plugs wired to key on power instead of battery power. Glow plugs quit working, I tested the relay, it is good, and I moved the power to key on to prevent screw ups. Got some other wires under the dash tucked away. Either tomorrow if it rains or Saturday I will test glow plugs, and install a fuel pressure gauge. I ordered new taillight lenses, a wiper control knob, and a heater lever knob. Just little things here and there at this point. It seems to be reliable as far as main stuff goes. Hopefully the ZF5 will be just as strong and if so, I’m looking forward to having an overdrive. But I will miss shifting without the clutch

Had the pleasant fortune to find there are hex head bolts on my rear diff yoke. No wonder they should have a 12 point bolt. Rounded them off of course so getting ready for some welding…

Those aren't usually hex, they're torx. Using an Allen key will strip them out. Unless someone swapped them before.

They use the torx or hex capscrews because of clearance issues. Using a regular bolt, you can't get a socket on it around the strap.

No clue what that means, i just plugged it in and it looks like that
I haven't seen a truck that had kick panel lights. Unless it was a bullnose thing, but it was so long ago since I owned one that I don't remember if mine had it. I just know all the bricknoses I've owned never did.

Looks like he replaced the instrument bulbs with blue LEDs. As for the lights under the dash, probably add on if they aren't there originally. Very easy to install if want to do it on your truck
