This is probably an unusual request.

I know we have the list of people that can do timing for folks. But the closest one to me is Ellensburg.

I need to have the timing set. And I'd like to have someone I can trust, to take a look at the brakes, and the wheel bearings.

I just got it back from a shop that I don't really want to take it back to. (I'd rather not name the shop for reasons I'd also rather not discuss.) The brakes SEEM ok, finally. But there is still something that is dragging. I'm kind of hoping that putting some miles on it will help with that, but I'm not that confident that it will fix itself.

I don't like doing that kind of stuff in my steep wet cold muddy driveway. I can't move around all that well, in the first place. So I am kind of hoping someone near me could help with this.

I am absolutely willing to travel a bit, but can't leave the truck there.

Selahadoor I'm about 4 hours away from you in washougal. I've recently acquired a timing pickup to work with my timing light. I'm not the most experienced, but it seemed to work on my truck. I work graveyard shift and am home during the day. I don't have a garage so it will be out in the driveway during whatever kind of weather.

Well, there's two of you in the same area! :D

A get-together sounds great! Texas or the east coast is just too far for me.

Be nice if we could get something together that was more central in the state, though.

I'm in White Salmon, a buddy of mine who ran 6.9's for his tow service has the timing kit, and will let me steal it, as he doesn't see many IDI's any longer. Was going to do mine this spring. Maybe an mini Oilburners get together-timing party....
My wife is from just across the river , Hood River. Hopping to head that way for Christmas weather permitting.

I can also lend a hand if I have some notice, as I'm in Vancouver WA. I've done most repairs on my truck over the years, even though I no longer own her.

I'm in Lacey, WA, and have a small personal shop and 10,000# two post lift, but don't have the timing device. If you were passing through the Olympia area some weekend I'd be happy to check out the brakes with you. I have a parked 1989 F250 with NA 7.3 which is going to become the donor to my 1993 Green Monster, hopefully my winter project, and I'd love to connect with someone with the timing tool at that point!

At this point, I'd be happy to find someone near me who drives the same rig... To take my truck for a test drive, and tell me whether I am crazy, or the truck actually does have a problem with something dragging.

Ok, ok, there is no doubt of the former. But I'd like a second opinion of the latter.
