Not down here, but it looks like we're moving real soon ( reason we need the gravel got to firm up a drive a bit or im gonna sink my rig:-)and they had a huge Ace up where we are going, I may need to look into that, it would cut down on the return mileage a bunch as I think theres a quarry...- RLDSL

Cool, thanks!. Thats the ticket, something like that I can tilt back and spread out while pulling it out;Sweet save a lot of work with the tractor I don't know about buying a bolt on hitch that can handle it, but I have a Western Hauler bed and they build a hitch intagrally into that...- RLDSL

Has anyone had any experience with the 7 ton dump trailers united ( formerly RSC) rents? I need to haul some serious gravel and its too far to be paying transit on it ,. Need help with recharging my AC system with R12
The jury is still out on that one, and while I have no trouble getting 33 deg duct temps out of r134a conversions ( I can make them colder but I dont want to ice the evaporator :D and its what I normally use , but there is the minor bugaboo that all... and I do mean ALL and that includes...- RLDSL

Valve seals?
originally they came with positive on intake, umbrella on exhaust. then the 7.3 got positive on both intake and exhaust. after excessive reports of exhaust valve guide premature wear on the 7.3, they changed all kits to include umbrella seals for exhaust.... except for ninnys like me who know...- RLDSL

Oil catch can, would it be better with a breather?
check out the Racor CCV It's made for diesels and has an automatic return in the bottom to drain back oil to the crankcase when not pressurized ( you can braze a nipple to the oil dipstick tube)- RLDSL

Trailer towing capacity??? Need help deciphering Ford's Hyperbole!
Yeah, those figures are pretty laughable. Especially when you consider my crew cab with a Western Hauler bed weighs 8k empty LOL and that truck spent the first 200k miles of its life pulling a 3 car wedge for a car lot, and I regularly gross between 18-22+k and it does just fine ( that bed...- RLDSL

Inquiry about fuel additives
Not wanting to burst your bubble, but 175000km is only 108000 miles, which is just starting to get into normal pump changaover territory for OE pumps that were neglected. Better start saving up your money for a pump:D- RLDSL

a/c clutch seize up?
If your compressor is jamming up, you really MUST install at the very least a filter in the suction line before teh compressor, and should have one in the line between the condensor ad orifice tube as well. THis is on TOP of flushing he system or your new compressor is likely to fail before...- RLDSL

What tires are decent for mud, snow and towing?
I have the Kuhmo Road Venture MT mud tires on the rear of my dually 235/85-16 Excellent traction on mud, grass, snow, ice not so much, if truck is empty, but with a gooseneck trailer on, handles great . anybody not using lube in the fuel?
OK folks This has been hashed and re hashed. Sulfur is NOT a lubricant! period! end of discussion! Sulfur effects the burn rate of the fuel ( and in turn the higher rate of sulfur in the older fuel contributes to all kinds of nasty polution problems like acid rain etc ) but lubrication...- RLDSL

Agree with me that this is a stuck injector.
Trying to clean those injectors would basically be a waste. acting that bad about the only thing that would do any good would be about 4 cans of Diesel Purge, and quite honestly I really just sat back and put a pencil to that. I'm used to running that treatment on a set of Bosch Injectors on...- RLDSL
