If your going to do the intakes, you might as well do the exhaust too.. mine where all hard and broken so why only do half the job... you will kick yourself for not doing them all...
Call Justin... When I had a problem with my injector pump {not a R&D Pump} and had to send it back to Michigan for a Check up... I sent my Injectors to Justin and he cleaned and Adjusted them to 1900lbs For just a small fee.. And they weren't even his product..
He's a Good Guy and I'm sure...
There are some threads that have the specs laid out.. you will need to do some digging to find them... I was around when the ground work was being done on the J2 cam way back in late 2012. I was looking to have a custom Grind done and was having difficulty finding a Guy that would do what I...
I love my J2 cam.. It pulls hard all the way up to when my MH's Allison shifts at about 3300 and I have had her up to the governor in High gear some where around 3900 or 4000 on my tack (Lease Nevel Alternator style) so I'm not sure if its completely accurate although it was reading around 100...
I had to reduce the inlet fuel pressure to under 5psi to stop my injector pump advance from activating to soon... I have a 90cc pump and a electric pump and it was acting strangely when I had the pressure at 7 to 8 psi. when I reduced it to 4psi it acts correctly... My pump guy told me...
The Kelsey Controller is a inertial activated Brake control. It uses the signal from the brake switch to start to check the inertial force applied to the sensor then sends brake power out the blue wire. That controller has power on the Black wire, ground on the white wire, cold side of the...
The SAE bell comes in 2 size's for the IDI... SAE 3 and SAE 2.... The 2 is larger diameter than the 3... Also the 3 is aluminum the 2 is cast Iron.
the stock passenger side exhaust manifold Won't work with the SAE housing it hits the bell adaptor at the side trans mount. check out my...
Black ground...red 12 volt positive ....blue brake output to trailer... to adjust this controller you rotate the hand knob...clockwise more aggressive braking rate...
the controller should be set to make the trailer do 60% of the stop during normal stopping conditions.. there used to be...
If you want 400hp at the wheels you will need more than 140cc of Fuel and 30 psi with one of R&D's cams....or the J2 cam I have that bleeds of a bit of compression. Cutting the pistons and coating the crowns will help...You will also need a bigger Turbo and Custom up pipes to get rid of all the...
Looking good....R&D IDI performance has a nice 110cc pump...Very nice fuel curve and it will give you about 390 to 425 HP and 650 to 750 Torque at the Crankshaft with your combo if you can get about 20 to 25 psi boost out of your turbo....Real nice daily driver with an attitude....I hope to...
Test run it....No problem Check out my build pictures there are some with the test set up I used to start mine....Lots of good info.....My brother lives up in Skagit county. He helped me Install my engine and has a 89 IDI van. Check out my Flickr page https://www.flickr.com/photos/racer30/
The IDI has about 75 to 80lbs of force holding the valve shut.... and about 220 to 240lbs when at full open at .0380 valve lift. when you rev this Engine to 3300rpm it won't have float problems. when you increase the valve lift and the ramp rate to get the valve to open faster you now have a...
I have 910 springs in my 7.3 No problem....The 910's have about 15lbs more closed pressure and about 40lbs more open pressure than stock springs with a stock cam. My Engine is running a J2 Cam with a little more than .040 more lift even with that Stock push rods are fine.
