Plastic fender flares.... there's an idea. I could run those 38 15.50's I've been looking at then. I'd at least have to paint match them though.

LOL

Having done bed sides in the past and seeing what shape things seem to be in here other than the wheel arches, I don't think it's worth the trouble. That and they are really expensive anymore.

I already have the wheel arch patch panels. If things go bad, I'll think about bed sides. Easier from a body work perspective. Big enemy right now is time. I want a complete serviceable vehicle by the end of this weekend. I think I'm pretty close. May order wheels and tires today.

I bought this stuff. Figured it would be good to spray in the nooks and crannies that I can't get too otherwise.

It gets in there but it makes a mess.

In the mean time I spent the afternoon paying the stupid tax for my efforts the other night. I tore the entire fuel sending system apart trying to figure out why my gauge quit working on the front tank. No pictures but suffice it to say a bad solder joint tugged on when I forgot to unhook the tail light harness during bed removal the other night played a significant role. [emoji849]

I worked on mounting the catch can and CDR. Here is my modded version of a relocation kit.

The best place I could find to stick it was on the core support below the radiator. Needed a little trimming and a bracket.

Mounts here.

Using the Banks vent adapter on the front of the engine to the catch can and then from catch can to the intake tube.

It's tight in there.

Need something to rest the air filter on so it will be up off the CDR valve and some hose. That's been a tough thing to find for reasonable money.

I also put the steering stabilizers back on.

I ordered my wheels and tires. Went 265 75 16. Then promptly got in a heated discussion with tire rack over what exactly "in stock" means to them. Apparently since my wheels are out of stock in the closest warehouse, I have to wait 7-10 days for them to show up and then they will mount and balance the tires and ship them or I can pay extra frieght from Nevada (another 150$) so they can ship from there. Needless to say I'm not at all happy. If I had the time, I'd probably go find the wheels I want elsewhere and tell them to sit and rotate on them.

But I digress. Tomorrow is get the bed on and squared up. Then cab lights and cargo lights do it's weathered in so I can paint the cowl and air dam and not worry about rain.

I have to find the last AC hose so I can put it together and get it charged.

I got it laid over. Used the winch on the truck. She's finally going to start being useful. Picked it up and leveled it good so the wife could help me land it.

And on.

Took some time and got the bed shimmed up so the body lines match and it clears my fuel vents. Rear was really tight. Filler necks installed. Caps installed. Job done....for now.

On to other things. Stupid hood latch cable mount broke the other day. Nothing a conduit clamp can't fix.

Installed hoses on the catch can. Also installed prop for air cleaner to make it all fit.

That silver bar at the bottom is the air filter support.

Here it is from underneath. Simple flat bar that rests on the inner fender.

More pics of intake finished.

Finalized seat belt install. It's all good now. Bunch of little things. Hardware I bought for the cab lights is a no-go. I'll get stainless sheet metal screws tomorrow. I just keep doing stuff. List is getting shorter slowly.

Welp, she's getting her face back. Slowly.

I DO NOT recommend the Eagle Eye brand lights. They fit like poop. I had to tear them down and modify the brackets because the damn hole in the fender didn't match the location of the hole in the lens. [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Notice how the bulb hole doesn't line up with the bracket? Yeah.

Elongated the holes.

Now it's closer but it also doesn't fit quite right in the fender hole. Little give and take and it finally all goes together. Not perfect but its together.

Cowl and air dam cleaned up and ready for primer.

And 1 coat of epoxy primer.

That's flashing right now and I'll give it another coat so it can sit over night and hopefully primer and paint tomorrow.

First time the headlights have worked since I've owned it. Nice and bright too. May need to adjust them a little but they are plenty bright with fresh lenses and the relay mod.

I actually took a little test drive through the neighborhood today. Coming back I got on it a little.

10 psi in second gear like... bam!!!

This thing is going to make some boost. Little puff of smoke and it was off.

In other news, pulled the grill down to see how much I'm going to have to trim to get around the IC. Probably need to loose an inch out of the back of it on the bottom side.

It's getting scary close to a complete vehicle.

Yeah I had a fun time getting my new lights to fit well.

I want to know your boost numbers once you really run it. So far at WOT 3,000 RPM I can hit 17 psi locked in 3rd gear.

So far, little over 10 in second and it wasn't full throttle. I think 20s may be reasonable. Hope to know soon enough. Planning on tagging it this week.
