I would worry less about flex and more about stress cracking under heavy loads. Looking good, but definitely through something on the inside of the rail to box it in or fab/bolt on a frame stiffener there.

I was eyeing up a cross bar that would connect both rails. If I can get the bar level at ride height I wouldn't have any concerns.

That sounds like a good idea. I didn't pay any attention, but you should have just enough room to run a crossmember there if you're using both fuel tanks.

You didn't happen to have this truck out Saturday afternoon on the turn pike heading east did you??

Seen one a whole lot like it but I could have swore the entire bed was red with a "not a powerstroke" sticker on the tail gate.

If it was you I was the dude in the purple VW giving you the thumbs up then I realized I thought I seen that truck before...

Depending on where you were he may have been heading home from the rally. East of Bedford?

It's quite impressive in person.

Ya it would have been. Where was the rally?? I'm only about 70 miles from Bedford. Now I feel dumb.

I was impressed going by it. I slowed down to get a good look and I can't believe I didn't notice the suspension when I came up on him. I normally have a good eye for that stuff

Yes rally was at friendship village campground in Bedford. It's right at the US30 and US 220 junction which is right along side of 76.

Ahh. I should have paid more attention to the rally thread.

I was actually heading to Carlisle to meet Dunk. He's the (hopefully) proud owner of a mint bullnose core support.

I bet if crawler seen it in the back of the car I would have been ran off the road!
