i've had my doghouses off in the past and I can tell you that there is no chance in hell will a SRW bed be modified properly to fit OEM doghouses off a DRW.

its gotta be possible.lets think outside the box.
honestly, I'm not interested in cliches. I'm a realist. the time it takes to cut and box bed sheetmetal so you have a mounting surface for the j-nuts and bolts, would have exceeded the cost of buying a bed that is in good shape. but since you want to be a cliche, figure out how to trim and box a bed around the outer perimeter of a doghouse.;Sweet

I cut the dually flare areas off the side of a junkyard dually bed (that was junk otherwise) and welded them into a good SRW bed from my parents totaled F150. Yes, I spent a good 3 days doing the work and it still needs to be finished (I just rattle canned the bare metal to slow down the rust). The flares fit fine. With a little filler and paint you would not likely know the bed didn't leave Ford that way. I have more time than money and there are not too many good dually beds around for the price I can afford.

Hope these help. There are others in his album, but I thought these were about the best for what you were looking for. It looks like there is alot that would have to removed from the bedside to fit the hips..... It may be able to be done.... but would be alot of work...

You'er welcome Ron. I remembered yours from the transformation from Goldie to "Blueie" and that you had her in about as many pieces as you could take apart.

Sorry to hear about the salt getting to her.... I noticed a spot on the Ex, in a really wierd spot, but anyway, I need to get after it... before it becomes a huge mark!!! I will try to snap and post a pic later..... and you will see what I mean...
