it sounds like with the money you are planning on spending on an aod you could build a good e4od setup. Im not an e40d fan, just saying.

Yeah i was thinking about the E4OD also, however i have an AOD and 4r70w laying around. Can I use the 4r70w input shaft and overdrive if i use i different converter? I know the 4r70w has a single input. I was going to use the planet from from the 4r70w as well for the 2.84 first.

This guy uses a E4OD behind his hi hp Cummins. I am not sure why but I'm sure he could have afforded any trans he wanted. Wouldn't a 2000 seris Allison rob more power than its worth?![]()
of course this is only speculation, and my own personal experience, but I have no doubt in my mind I'm putting down more than 200rwhp. Diesel JD rode in my truck a month back and can put in his personal opinion too if he wishes. My last diesel was a 96 PSD with an exhaust and intake, and my IDI easily out tows it. 85mph was easily attainable going up hill, with 9k trailer behind it and EGT's under 1150.
Dyno your truck you might beat everything on here, one way to know if DPS has stepped up there product qulity
It has more to do than just my DPS parts. Its a combination of everything I did when putting my engine together.
I actually tried contacting a shop to do a dyno but it looks like they are no longer in business, which puts the next closest shop over 250 miles away.
