It seems like I've heard that. I was under the impression that they're pretty good. You can't beat those yanmars though, great little engines.

According to my local Ford dealer it’s a ZD9 but they sell them in pairs hence the ZD”2”9 and they look like the exact same product.ZD-29`s, that must be the new Blow Torch Plugs?
Haven`t heard of those.

Nice upgrades, I need to do that myself. Still rocking the OE radio and speakers. 16+ years later...I got a new radio for Christmas! And so I cleaned out and reworked absolutely everything. I think I took out a pound of random wires from previous owners.

I've been toying with the idea of a 5 second burst followed by a (10-20 second) wait to heat up the chamber then a full 12-15 second burn on cold days. Just getting a little extra heat into the cylinders before starting, it might catch right away. Are your GP`s Manual or still wired in factory through the Controller?
My 86 are wired manually, last week when it was 8 deg when I got up. Neighbor up the road said earlier it down to Zero.
I gave her 12 sec, had the Starter do it`s thing.
Then gave her another 10 sec while cranking not letting up in the key. Finally she starting on one or 2 cyl and so on, gave her another 6 sec gp. and finally she was able to hold her own. Still needed to play with the peddle some.
First time I started this cold, and the 15w/40 oil didn`t help at all.
Next morning it was warmer maybe 16deg, put the HF Heat gun down the intake and 10sec on the plugs and she started like a warm engine.
and idles smooth, but that 8 deg was something.
I have 332K on the engine, and maybe some of the 4yr old MC plugs are not getting hot enough.
The BH Cord has a cut and green corosion so it doesn`t work, just ordered 2 off E-bay last night, be here in a couple days.

My 1988 had the ac button, and when I built my crew cab (which is a 1990) I moved the ac button style hvac controls over.I knew this is and 87. 87 was the only year (I pretty sure only year) that had the A/C button.

Thanks!Dang nice to see a clean system being put in! - funny my 88 has almost an identical JVC head unit but from like at least a decade ago (without fancy colors and bluetooth), having an aux jack is way better than the tape deck/aux converters.
You thinking a sub or anything as well?
