Well,
got an offer that couldn't be passed up. Yep, Goldies got a caboose on the loose. :D
I was looking at this fiver bout 4 months back and got beat to the punch, well the puch called up 2 weeks ago and offered it back. The cost for this 30'er ya might ask?

$250.00 :D :D :D
We had unloaded some goodies and a bit of horse trading to get it but will need some work to get back road ready for camping with the fam.

Not sure of what this thing scales out at but let me tell ya, I got passed by molasses on the way back to the house.
Yep must weigh a few ton cause the wide hipped gay truck had a great workout this afternoon lugging the trailer to the homestead. ;Sweet
Man do I love the sound of a 7.3L working it's tailpipe off in the winter. :D :D :D
Got some good info from the hound to get the fiver leveled off to match the truck and am now on the lookout for some parts to get the ball rolling this spring.
Definitly gonna need to get some air stuffed into the ole gal to drag this rig around the countryside. ;Sweet

How wide is your 5er, from the head on shot it don't look any wider than your truck, also if I was you I would cover the front windows over the truck bed as when it rains and you are pulling it it will leak and the windows will cause drag....... Just my thoughts and you got a great deal, enjoy........ Jim

;Sweet With seeing your handy work on the slide in camper last year I have full 100% faith that you'll have her in tip top shape in no time. Great price - man gotta love sweet deals when they come along.

Didn't see the the AC sticking on the roof - I'd have to get one toot sweet if it were me. Don't forget that your sitting very very close to a lot of RV bone yards just south of ya.

Ya Jim, I plan on addressing that issue. They are sloped forward pretty good but they'll leak plus road debris might take a pane out. I didn't get a wide measure yesterday but she's not any wider than the truck.
When I get it redone it'll sleep 6 easy and yes its' friggin huge. Kinda makes a big truck look small.

I talked to Darin last night and he has set me on the track to get a leveling kit to get the trailer farther up off the ground to address that issue(axle swap). I almost munched the bed rails just getting it in the driveway.

Travis ya called me on that one. ;Sweet This TT is in better structural shape than the slide in I redid last year for the rally, so with a connection in the rv manfacture industry replacement parts will be cheap. ;Sweet
Looks like a road trip will be in order this spring to do some recon work down yer way. ;Sweet
My other creation, the 54 Chriscraft cow can be seen in the background. The one that made it to Lisbon. Might be selling it as I do't need 4 campers, 3 of which are now in the yard.

It will need a furnace and prolly an air unit for the top. The one up there is questionable. Sounds like a lunch trip may be in order again. :D
Will take some time but in no big hurry to get it on the road. got a few other things cooking I gotta take care of first. Mainly with the truck.

Ron is that an Elkhart Traveler?
Yup. ;Sweet

The only bad thing is that the PO had passed away from a heart attack last spring while in his tractor....Long story but relatives couldn't locate the title.
Been looking the thing over and can't find the VIN for it to get things rolling with registration. Got 10 days in Michigan and the sellers posted a date on the reciept. Any clues?
I know this is squeaking the lines in here but paint scheme will be the usual white with some markings similar to the gold current location to blue matching the truck repainting on her transition to sonic blue pearl this spring on the resto. ;Sweet
Should look purdy cool I think.
Oh but a gold pinstrip will remain on Goldie not to jinx her name.

Just gotta figer a name for the new addition.
Wifey calls it the ugly stick but that won't work. cookoo
