Aside from the high price and StopLeak. Re-upholstered the front seat, had the Banks turbo installed by Banks in Azusa, redid the head gaskets after the turbo install due to leakage(about 100k ago), repainted the truck about 15 years ago, matching camper shell, used Stanadyne fuel additive for last 20 years, at last clutch job had the trans gone through and one bearing replaced, had the glow plugs updated to 7.3 style, replaced rear ring and pinion about 150k ago, new bearings and seals in rear axle, synthetic fluids in the running gear, replaced both sending units when bed was off for paint, replaced tank selector valve, aftermarket reverse lights in bumper, boost and pyro gauges, trailer brake controller, Optima red tops, and a total of 5 manila folders full of receipts. Of course this means nothing until I see it and drive it.
I don't mind traveling and I'm all ears. In a way I've sort of given up on finding a truck locally in my price range that has straight body, good paint, and is solid mechanically. I can figure out the mechanical issues but there's only so much time in a life and I think learning body and paint just ain't in my cards.
