So would you just give it a shot, spend the 30 bucks and try another one? Motorcraft, of course...
Absolutely
Thanks!
Amazon has two, one listed as a Motorcraft DY1123 :
https://www.amazon.com/Motorcraft-DY1123-Speed-Sensor/dp/B001CA9CD8
And one this one listed as a
Ford F85Z-9E731-AB :
https://www.amazon.com/Ford-DY1123-F85Z-9E731-AB-SENSOR-ASY/dp/B001H1MQFI
Are they the same? I can get the "Ford" part in ten days where as the "Motorcraft" will be three weeks...
Try eBay, amazon has mechanical parts as a low priority on shipping right now. eBay isn’t
Yes same same
I'm more inclined to believe that whatever the real problem is, momentarily worked, and less likely to blame the VSS simply due to the circumstances.
So are you saying that is was a coincidence that when I replaced the VSS all of a sudden the cruise control became functional? You just described exactly what he was saying. The VSS probably has nothing to do with it.
