Well, I need an engine, and in my search I have found a couple decent mileage 7.3's from E350's. What are the differences? If the accessories or exhaust manifolds or anything are different, I do have all that stuff obviously. What's the word?

Fuel filter head assembly is different but will work.
Can be beneficial if doing a coolant filter mod, thus using the truck filter head bracketry for mounting the coolant filter head to. ;Sweet
The drivers side exhaust manifold needs to be swapped out. Clearance issues.
The oil dipstick tubing is routed a little different but will also work.

I say go for it. Got one in my 89. Works great! ;Sweet

on edit:
Oil cooler also as the filter angle is slightly different.

You will have to change the exhaust manifolds, one for sure maybe both, the oil cooler and the fuel filter mount if memory serves. I dont know about accessory brackets as when I did this the van engine came with none.
Hope this helps some, and others will chime in.

I've been vulturing vans for years:D;Sweet
You will need to change out....
driver's side exhaust manifold
engine to motor mount brackets
oil cooler assy(if nothing else, the cooler head where the oil filter mounts)
dipstick tube assy(if you are a purist)
feul filter mount(if you are a purist)
injection pump hard lines(if you are a purist)
and that's it...

I found these pics-

Makes me wonder if the fuel filter would be OK there or if the AC compressor would get in the way. Also, note how the GP controller is behind the air intake instead of on pass. side valve cover. I imagine that my turbo would likely hit it. I could swap the valve covers I'm sure. Isn't there a sensor underneath the controller inside the valve cover?
Again, I do have a whole 7.3 to swap stuff out, but the less I have to swap out the better. The engine I may try to buy has the IP and stuff on it, so I'd just as soon leave the fuel lines and filter where they are on the van engine if it will work.
