CPS normally stands for either Crank Shaft Position sensor or Cam Shaft Position sensor. Bruce as you know I don't know the Bowtie's but on most cars/trucks it's normally down by the crankshaft on the front by the harmonic balancer or that is where it was on the cars I have owned in the past that had CPS's on them.

CPS = crank position sensor...located in the timing cover just beside the powersteering pump...

Check and double check all connections and grounds (especially the washer between the passenger side positive battery connections)...

If this doesn't help, you need to have a scanner find the desired and actual timing numbers...
