I'm not sure if it's diesel but it might be with the stack exhaust.

I recently saw a centurion e350 with a 460 and c6. It was setup like a conversion van but dually and with a western hauler bed. It had the split doors to the back seat like a regular van. I think the van conversions are cool looking, but I wouldn't want to own one. Just the idea of trying to work on a van gives me a headache .....I am holding out for a cc dually idi anyways:Thumbs Up

It was slightly bad doing the injector o-rings on my E350. Getting the old ones off was the worst part. Only the alternator, fuel filter and dog house cover had to come off to help gain access. The thing about IDIs is they usually don't need much very often. The accessories that wear out (alt, vac pump, etc) aren't bad.

Timing can be pretty bad due to how far back the IP is.

Caught the old guy who owns it when he was outside. Yep, a 460. He's owned it for 22 years. He said it gets about 6.5mpg after he put on a different brand carburetor. I'm not sure if that's when towing the 5th wheel he has or not?

If anyone wants one there is one sitting on the side of the road in SW Seattle by Michigan BLVD right across from the Seattle Mart where the homeless all sleep in vehicles. Also a nice old 50s or older Dodge pickup there and an E350 camper like @Cubey has. Probably have to fight a bum for it.

There was one of these at an estate sale here in Atlanta a while back, it was built by shotgun customs(or so said the logo) and was in very nice shape but was not running at the time. The guy wasn't asking much either and I wish I'd had the cash. It popped up on Craigslist about 6 months later for about $8,000 still not running but didn't stay listed long but I doubt someone ponyed up 8 grand for it.

Now I could own that truck. Not for $10,000, but I'd still consider it. I saw the two "price increasing" words in the description. "Custom" and "rare". People like to think that one or both of those words greatly increase the value of something. They fail to realize that the pertinent third word is "desirable". If nobody wants what you've got, it isn't worth very much. No matter how rare and custom it may be. Just ask all of the Edsel owners from the 1960's. I'll bet that they almost had to give those away.

Now that is more my style. I don't think I have ever seen a truck like that. I am very surprised it is a manual idi.

"Custom"

I just read this as "Impossible to fix"

Used to be quite a few of those vans around here. Most had idi motors....so I got to work on them. Had an old friend that bought one new with the idi and hated it. Said it was always quitting and the dealer in Minnesota never could figure it out. Gave it back to them with like 20k on it.

Here’s another weird one, not sure if it’s IDI or not though. Custom Van/boat/motorhome
