I know what the nut is. I'm looking at it. I need to know what size socket as the parts store has no idea. And yes it has 4 protrusions.
It isnt a size it is an application specific...go to another store...google it and get a tool part no.....but it isnt a size

I don't need the nut. I need the socket to take out the nut. That socket is size specific.
No it is APPLICATION specific...fits *** and yyy vehicles...they dont go by size I am telling you...it goes by application or what vehicle it fits...ford 250 350 chev 2500 dodge...or ranger and jeep for example....has sfa to do with size...you are shopping at wrong parts store...
Google dana 50 or even 60 spindle nut socket for example and a KD tool no should come up with list of what fits....

The correct size is 2 1/2" straight wall spindle socket. I have tried every size around it. Brick and mortar parts stores such as NAPA or Advanced do not sell it.

I bought mine at O'reilly's but most auto parts places stock or can order the spindle nut sockets.
Napa up here sells them.
But I just need azk for spindle socket fits xyz and they order it.
Zame any other parts store because if I asked for what you said I would get a hex socket for a REAR wheel bearing spindle nut

They didnt have it either. They actually looked through their special tools book and there are 3 or more sockets that state the same application. They are ordering a new spindle nut though and will 100% verify the actual size.

My Advanced told me the largest they have is 1 5/16. And they said they couldnt even order them. As for O'Reilly I just replied about that above this post.

It seems that NAPA varies widely from place to place. My big warehouse NAPA said they couldnt do it either. But I am working on an angle that might due the trick so I can finally get the right socket.
You guys are shopping at wrong places frig they are on amazon ebay and most every decent tool truck

I checked Snap-On and Craftsman and neither had the right socket. But I did find it online. Not cheap though.
