speed and index option

This site seems slow, I am using a 56K modem (ya, rural area) so how can I speed it up?

Also on TDS they have an index button to take you back to the list of posts. Am I doing that wrong also? I do not read every thread so going back to the list is nice.

Unfortunately we are not a 56k modem friendly site. Too many pictures. I suggest using a browser that can strip the pictures from the posts. It's not as pretty but it will speed it up a lot. I feel your pain I was limited to Dial up for many years myself. Unfortunately when we design sites now we tend to forget about the dial up guys because we are so used to higher speeds.
