It took several months longer to get the garage ready, but finally have a dry heated place for the winter project.
Hydroboost conversion started, '04 SD axles swap, RS kits, and wiring, and paint prep.

Well, I blew up the Pulse turbo on my 91. It was an older one, I bought that kit used. I have replaced every component except the turbo at this point. Drove itself home the 8 miles, smoking like it was on fire. Drank quite a bit of oil, but didn’t run the sump dry. There is oil absolutely everywhere now though…

Prime time for an 093 swap, especially since I picked up a mint condition kit just last Saturday… I might ought to rebuild that turbo first, but it has zero play in it whatsoever…

Maybe it’s time to go even bigger… I’ve got a set of ARP 2000 studs on the shelf… and, uh, Justin makes a pretty sweet turbo… which I also have in stock… oh and a 3” V band downpipe, and I have one of Brian Grilli’s up pipes… the ol’ 94 project might get pushed back in favor of the 91… getting an upgrade. Maybe not all the upgrades, I haven’t decided yet.

Well, the turbo could have been 20 years old, had plenty of axial play, and a bit of shaft play. Blew the oil seal, no other damage.

Isn't that a law somewhere? You know, the one that states if you're driving a 7.3 without a load you keep it working hard, otherwise stuff just quits working..

I was pulling a trailer when it happened. But not much of a load.

You’re probably right though, I must not have been given ‘er all the way enough.

Since it was cold and somewhat drizzly, I didn't do much. I left early and bought a high dollar No Trespassing sign do deal with the absolutely FILTHY people who live on the north side of my garage. Their yard literally looks like a junk yard and they seem to feel like they can freely use my property as they like since I'm not living there. Since I was already there, I hooked onto the trailer of firewood behind my garage and brought it home. I waited for a few hours for the weather to clear up a little and then unloaded the firewood. After that, I went to the town dump to scrape most of the leftovers out of the trailer. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to use it to haul some wood pellets for a friend so there's no need to unhook from the trailer until tomorrow.

Hey man, I was looking at you Centar there, and thought about my bronco and something I've looked into lately, but have you ever considered a Skylar top for it? It's actually a trick question, because I want one for my bronco and started looking for them on the net.......they quit making them years ago and when you find one either it's wore out or insanely expensive. Anyhoo......sure would look snazzy on centurion........

If they were made Bronco style, for sure I'd be interested.
The bondo they use at the F350 to Bronco transition is over 1" thick.
The roof is in heinous condition.
Once the drive train mods are done I'll strip it and replace, at least well enough to stop the leaks.
The headliner is gone, but I'm still undecided where I'm taking this build.
While the Centurion work was amateur at best, the shell seems to be in okay condition, other than the repaint they did is all flaking off.

I'll put up a plastic barrier to do all the body work to keep from destroying the shop, but am only doing enough to stop the oxidation and leaks.
The full paint and interior won't start until next year after move.
I want to keep the 1 ton 4 door Bronco profile.

This morning, I left early to help friends bring their wood pellets home for their stove. It didn't help since the fog was so thick that I could only drive about 50 MPH. A few minutes later, it was light enough that I could actually see a little bit, but at 7:45 when I left, there was just a glow in the sky. After getting the pallet of pellets loaded, I stopped off and got hair cut before hauling the pellets to their house. Unloading was almost as easy as the loading was. The store used a forklift, he borrowed a neighbor's skid steer with forks on it. I had no trouble keeping highway speed for the 18 miles trip to his house since there wasn't much wind blowing.
