Well naturally. I wonder what it is about those things that makes them disappear so often?
That said, sometimes miracles do happen. This one popped up one day and I hadn't even realized that it had escaped with a partner. Yes it was a 10mm socket!

I picked up a 302 to put in the Red Truck. It was running until it was drunkenly cold reved too many times and broke the pin on the camshaft. I'll have to tear it apart to look inside, but I think this one will be ok. I found a couple of heat tabs on it so I know that it's been rebuilt before.

I hit the 500 mile mark on my break in oil so it was time to change it. Did an "autopsy" on the filter too.

The good news, no glitter in the filter so I think everything is working as it should. Have the new R&D 80 pump and injector installed with the returns - no leaks! After doing some research on here I figured out that I probably needed to change the probably original FIPL and how to set it. What a great difference that made. Shift points are on the money, it will now downshift if passing and the shifts are more firm like it should be. The old one couldn't cover the voltage range it should so it shifted too early always. Great drive with it and my fuel pressure stays healthy with the new IP now

Rear end is back in, time to yank the front axle out and do a service and cleanup/rebuild. Cab and front clip from a '90 are on the way from California.

Not looking to bad versus the scaled, surface rusted, dirt covered hulk I pulled frome gravel pit.

I went and bought a pristine condition factory turbo kit this morning. Has every single piece, including the heat shields. No shaft or end play in the turbo itself. I think I got a pretty good deal, all things considering.

Found out that a TRX400 quad and a PW80 dirtbike fit in the back of my dually, even with the camper top on. I have a two bike hitch carrier, and I have a trailer, but it's kind of nice not to use either of them

By the way, if you've never used the tri-fold arcing ramp, way better than individual flat ramps. Makes loading the quad so easy, especially if you have a small incline, which my driveway affords me.

Back in the 90s when I had a couple of toys, but not much else, I found out that I could fit my 4X4 quad, two dirt bikes, a tool box, three gas cans, riding boots, the 2X12s that I used for loading, and a cooler in the bed on my 1978 F100 without a topper on it. We had to because a wheel bearing went out on the trailer that I had borrowed.
