Removing hypermax turbo

Any suggestions on the best way to remove my hypermax turbo from my 7.3 idi. Without removing the engine. It’s not looking like an easy task.

Lots of pb blaster, patience and beer another thing is extensions and wobblys. That's what I usedn where you stuck at

Each up pipe is secured with a set screw. 7/16 wrench size. Drivers side best access is from underneath. The down pipe is secured with a ring like a piston ring. It is just pressed into place, so should pull out. With down pipe out the turbo is bolted to the pedestal. Awkward like all work on these engines. The pedestal is bolted to the rear of the pass side head. Mel wrote a tech article that I found helpful on install. Look in tech articles at top of this page.
