Nice looks like you have the same 3 g alternator I do. Be glad it bolted right up. I spent another work day getting mine to bolt in. Good to see your progress.

I've been fretting about it since I bought it...2 years ago. [emoji849]

I knew it would work... just not sure how easily it would work. In the scope of this project, that was a 1 out of 10 with 10 being impossible. [emoji6]

So no inline tube package today but that's not shocking. So soldiering on.

I'm going to dump a bunch of pics up here for archival purposes.

That's a piece of all thread with a nut welded on. Then there is a nut that was used as a spacer. [emoji21]

The pile is getting larger.

So here we are. Standing back looking at things, I wonder if I should go ahead and start mocking up the turbo. Now might be the time since I'm not using this engine, cutting and grinding around it might be smarter. [emoji6]

I also noticed that there are stacks of washers on the crank pulley bolts. [emoji849]

Probably some work to do there.

Okay. Box from inline tube came today. Line installed with a little tweaking like before. I didn't take pictures because I'm actually much more excited/confused by this.

I broke out my turbo and turbo kit to see how much work I had ahead of me. Well, I'll let you see what I saw and open the floor for comments.

I had to reclock it but it fits. I'm totally confused and shocked. Heath had to do a lot of custom work to get his turbo to fit including adapter flanges and customizing the intake. I tried the standard ATS hat on there and as you can see it fits but it's pointed the wrong way so I think I'm basically a custom intake hat away from a turbo install???

Am I missing something???

That turbo is tiny :joker::bs

Better send it to me instead ;burnout:cheers:LOL

If I recall, the 088 hats curl opposite the 093 and Aurora 3000 hats? Maybe one of those and you're nearly good to go?

@IDIoit had hats for sale? Don't recall which ones

088 does indeed curl opposite. May be tight on the cold side exit, but it may work out alright. Can't be much worse than a reclocked 093 and intercooler

I am with Al, if you run an intercooler like you want you should be set.

IMO, 1 vote for a custom hat like we talked about.

even that single inlet turbo hat i showed you.
slice it up and put a clearance for the turbo.

then you can reclock the cold side back down a bit and keep you charge pipes closer to the engine.
