Buddy bought a 7.3 he drove it 5 hrs. Says it's got new lift pump filter and ip. He can not get fuel past the center of the pump. He says he has 12v and has switched The fuel shut off switch from pumps. Still can not get fuel to injectors and won't fire?

Can't really tell what is going on but.. If fuel able to reach the filter? To find out you can presss in the schrader valve when cranking the engine. The schrader valve looks like any air valve on a car tire or bike tire. You also must have at least 1/4 tank of fuel. Most trucks have the broken off suction head and they wont suck the last 1/4 tank of fuel. Might all a few gallons if the tanks are near 1/4 inch.. Also turn the ignition switch to the run position but do not start it. Now find the wires on top of the injection pump. The large spade connector nearest the radiator in the fuel shut off solenoid. Remove this wire connector and listen for the clip sound. If you hear that then the solenoid works well. Bout all I can add for now.
