I'm wiring it on a relay set up, if I have a 17amp draw compressor should I run a 20 or 25 amp fuse. It has a 30 amp in it right now and that seems high to me.
Cool. My only concern would be how that pump is built. Is it a cheapy open crankcase or is it a quality oiled unit? I used to have a York compressor on my truck for air. Worked well but removed it when I swapped engines as I didn't have a bracket to fit. Very handy for airing tires and using tools. Horns could be handy too.
Finally finished up the system today, got the tank and compressor in a under bed box, compressor wired in with a relay and 12g wire, the horns and compressor on gated dash switches, and all lines ran and hid. I'll get a pic after I clean up the work area. Real happy with it! Now I have 3 levels of getting people attentions by horns and air for whatever I need.
