Permanent solution for eliminating fuel heater

Let me know how any of y'all have eliminated the fuel heater to stop leaks forever. I've replaced the o-rings twice in the two years I've owned the truck, now the internal one is starting to seep again. I never use it even in winter, living here in Oregon. Let's see how to eliminate it!

JB Weld worked for some previous owner on this truck...still appears to be working. Probably not the classiest fix, heh. I've got an old-style filter head to swap in if it ever lets loose. Filters are hella cheaper for it also.

I guess I'm gonna have to try JB weld with a fat bolt that has a smooth head.

I JB welded mine about 6 months ago. Seems to be holding up well.

That would look much more professional than JB weld.

No pics, ill try to get some. What I did was just fill the top up with jb weld: the part in which the plug goes.

I saw it done that way on one a month or two back.....smoothed it down with a scotchbrite disk...looked excellent.

Ya there is that to. you really want to have someone that knows how to tig weld doing the welding.

You could always just use that rubber boot to cover up the jb weld.
