Looking at a parts trucks that I want mainly for the interior. If I get it I'll probably be looking to part out the rest, major items would be a Banks non wastegate turbo, (square airbox) 4wd ZF5 and a running 6.9, though i may pull the injection pump before I sell it. (supposed to be a new pump) What's a reasonable price to ask for these? The last time I bought/sold anything like this was 5+ years ago so I want to make sure I'm still sort of realistic. As far as I know all parts are good but not great shape. It's being sold due to major chassis electrical problems (apparently was a victim of the redneck rewiring plan) and the owner moving.

Thanks,
~John

I hate to feel like a vulture, but I would be interesting in the turbo setup. As I once heard, there is no good excuse to a naturally aspirated diesel; and both of mine still are.

Ah, nice. I'll just sell it to north koreans for $$$$ then. LOL

So prices have come down some then. The last time I was in the market for this stuff (2005 ish) a ZF for $750ish and turbos were $500+ I figured as much.

The turbo was never on the truck, it's just with it.

No worries on vulturing, just send me a PM. Board members have priority.

The truck's also got a pretty nice body, 86 F250 regular cab longbed 4x4 with the two tone tan/brown paint. My main interest is the interior and I may pull a few other parts for my rig. Was thinking of keeping the ZF as a spare, but I think I'll just sell it.

Thanks,
~John

I think I need to see a picture... My 85 is two tone tan/brown, and I have a rust spot forming on the Drivers front fender... MAY be real interested in that too.

The turbo, would that just be the turbo or do you also have some of the installation hardware, manifolds, up/down pipe etc..

I'll get pics hopefully this weekend. I don't have any of the whole truck.

The turbo is a complete kit, or at least it looks that way.

I haven't seen it in person, just going off pictures and emails. I've been playing tag with the lady selling it for the actual owner for about 2 months now...... Hopefully I should be able to get it this weekend.

Okay.. Sounds good. Not in a HUGE rush; going to try to do IDI weekend for a couple days, and then working around the farm. Been a little lacking from working on Slim's carbon issue; just keep me in mind :D

Ok. Shipping might be a PIA though.

I was also sort of hoping to sell the entire body, I hate splitting things up.

The neat thing about being the seller, you can do what you want ... If you would rather just sell the chassis as it is, and you find a buyer, don't rip a fender off on my account because I want to be lazy and just bolt on a replacement and have it match.
If you cannot sell it, and would be willing to pull body parts off then like I said; I would be interested in seeing pictures. As always let me know. (And I'm still interested in the turbo set up ;) )

Okay, picked this thing up today, it certainly rougher than i thought but had a couple nuggets. The trans looks like a fresh rebuilt, and may be a S5-47, not sure yet. I'm thinking I'm going to keep it but not sure yet.

The turbo setup needs a rebuilt and is missing the up-pipe, intake elbow and some other parts. So not really worth much. Engine does run decently and the body looks decent. I'll post pics later.
