Personally, I don't care for the monochromatic look. I think it looks like someone was using an illicit substance and got ahold of a can of spray paint. I prefer a few parts, at least, to be a different color. I think that it makes the end product look like you cared enough to put some effort into it.

In the ideal world (I had patience) I’d get the hard lines powdercoated black and do the high pressure system black and turbo bare
But for me the long block needs to be the same color atleast on an idi they tend to look mismatched to me then a good tu tone

I vote for black or grey accessories. I would consider doing the valve covers in a different color along with the accessories, but that's just my preference.

Looking good, and nobody can say your engine bay looks too "cookie cutter".

Although some contrast with a different color here and there might look good too, I think there is something to be said for the industrial look of a single color over everything.

Looks good, should be Corn Binder red.

Though I did paint the Oil Cooler John Deere yellow when I had it apart
a few years back. Idea was I could see if I had any leaks.

Or paint it all gloss black, you'll never know if you have oil leaks
Me and by buddy did that earlier this year, wasn’t my color choice
You’d be suprised it’s not as bad to find oil leaks as you’d think

Ford blue elsewhere on the engine with white filters could match the rest of the truck?? Because Murica!

I think engines look great painted but have had concerns/worries in the past with getting paint chips into injectors and stuff when working on them after, don't believe it's caused any issues though
