Missing Bracket or Unused Holes? (Intake Manifold Question)

I'm trying to determine whether something is missing from my 1987 F250 6.9 IDI.

In the attached photo, I've circled two threaded holes on the driver side of the intake manifold, near the injection pump.

Can anyone identify what factory bracket, accessory, or component was originally mounted here?

Ive seen a remote air filter bolted there and the vans fuel filter goes over there, i believe.

That's where vans and Internationals have their fuel filter head mounted.

That is also where the stock 092 turbo air filter housing bolts to.

Yes but that's not what they were originally for. The turbo companies took advantage of the already existing holes.
