I wonder if you can get the factory turbo dipstick and tube from ford still?

I think I have a spare somewhere.

The turbo will make a Hugh difference. With my emls my truck was a dog, especially with a trailer. Post turbo I have no problem pulling away from traffic and can cruise at 70 with a loaded trailer.

If he wants to use the dipstick and tube from a '94 IDIT then i wish him good luck. i say this because ford or their supplier no longer makes the tranny dipstick for the '94 IDIT. For the tube i don't know.

I feel partical to the Banks CDR system. I like how it pulls the oil mist up thru the gears. I'm not sure if the gears get any supplied oil feed. Might just be from splash...:dunno

none of the above.
you lost focus on what is most important imho.

you have an actual gear ratio of 3.38:1 with 4.10 gears and 38.5" tall tires.
your truck needs some gears to help bring ya back to a performance gear.
a nice set of 4.56 gears would bring ya right up in the happy medium of 3.75 gearing, that would really make ya smile.
drop in a set of 4.88's to get ya up the performance field a bit more with close to 4.10's (just shy at 4.02)
personally id go with a set of 5.13's for a truck built up like yours for an actual gear ratio of 4.22 since those tires are big and heavy,it'll feel closer to a truck with 4.10's and stock tires.
it'll go so much better you'd think you dropped in two idi's.;)

anyway,that's my 2 cents.

p.s.
after that,id be working on the front springs.
so then id pick:
shackle flip and RSK
simply because a truck riding on 8 front leafs isn't anyone's idea of an enjoyable ride lol.

That is very true.. I guess I was leaning more towards the turbo or 5 speed just because I have them already so wouldn't have to spend more right now. But I see what your saying. Im thinking I may have to go the 5.13 route. Is the older 10.25 (pre 92) built any different then the post 92? I have a 91 and a 97 axle. What would be best to use? The 97 is limited slip

Besides being a bit slower to take off, my truck still pulls pretty hard at 12psi.

I do need to put my smaller tires back on to see what I could sd with all my gearing back. I'm also running my tires at 35psi instead of 70 due to a very rough ride.
