New way to repair firewall crack

If you look at the picture of the engine compartment, you can see some custom work. I guess that is one way to do it.

i considered something similair at one point for a "hurry up an get it on the road" fix.

Look right between the brake and clutch master cylinders, then follow the piece of pipe all the way to the radiator support. I bet it works, but I bet the bracket the member on here (freebird01?) makes works a lot better!

works really well right until you hit something hard head-on

then you get a stick of EMT coming through the dash to say "hi"

In a pinch I can see that being pretty handy, but wouldn't rely on it as a long term fix.

wood broom handle would be better and only as a temp "i got to get to work" sorta fix... at least with a broom handle it would shatter instead of ram through the firewall at your leg or worse
