Had a hard choice to make over the last couple days. I have spoke with a couple different guys and recieved their opinion. Today i came home with a 2004 NV5600 6 speed trans that i will be going in the Ford. This also came with an NP271 T-case which i know nothing about lol. I will post installs pics when i get all the parts together and ready to install.

Which means the ZF5, The BW1356, The adapter plate, the starter, The new valair clutch, and what ever else i decide to throw in will be sold as a package deal SOOOON! Ill keep you guys posted

if it doesn't turn out being a whole package deal, i could sure use a deal on a valair clutch and adaptor plate! i'm looking to do a cummins swap soon myself. i'd use my luk clutch but i dont know what its rated for and since its for an idi I bet not much

that'll be sweet having a 6 speed in an old ford! my uncle has an 03 cummins with a stick and its a hoot drivin. its cool being able to take off up a hill from a stop in 3rd gear lol


i'm very, very interested in the adaptor plate though! if i can avoid paying $800 for one from destroked i'd like to!

haha thanks for the posts guys. This plate requires the cutting of the bell housing on the zf tranny where the starter goes in. It already has been done to my zf which is why i am going to try to keep this as a packaged deal. I have a couple people on this "list" but i have not an idea what to price it at yet. i will keep you posted if things change.

it's more than just that.
there's a fair amount of "engineering" that goes into a plate.
I paid accordingly for my ATS IC kit and had no issues doing so due to knowing someone has done the engineering to make it fit and be out of the way when it comes to servicing the motor. imho, the lack of aggravation is priceless.
