hi guys, i recently bought a 84 6.9l 4x4. the previous owner decided that he would cut all the old glow plug wires out of the harness and just run a individual wire to each glow plug from the solenoid. im wanting to convert it to the solid state deal but am curious if i extended what was left of the cut off pieces if it would work with the rinky **** controller or if the resistance would be off to much for it to work. i read on here that a new engine harness could be as much as $600 from ford? if so ill drive this to the crusher myself before payin that. any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Holy crap, they raised the price and shipping. Bought three @ $55 ea. about a month ago. Mine came from Birmingham AL too, same place.

uhaultruckparts.com won't let me login anymore, so can't help you there.
