Hey everybody. I shipped a Moose Pump to Utah, and it arrived with the FIPL tab sticking out of the side of the box, and the tab on it bent 90 degrees over. The pump is fine, but the A4OD is not happy about the lack of input. I'm going to try and find one and send it out to him, but given the distance, and the holiday, I thought I'd just throw it out there that if anybody had a spare and wouldn't mind parting with it, and they are closer than me, that maybe he could somehow get it this weekend. The brother is just north of Salt Lake City.

FIPL tab? What is that? I just hauled all the E4OD crap off my truck, I might have what you need.
He's good now it appears. And I'm glad, cause it took me a couple days to come up with one for him. Now I have it in my pocket, but I'll wait to see if he needs another one, to compensate him for the grief.

Do you need some others as spares? I got a couple senders, most of the FIPL wiring harness, and whatever else my truck don't need with the 5 speed in it now.

I'm thinking the "tab" is the bracket that the tps switch bolts up to that itself is bolted to the injection pump...
I do know those funny little things that attaches to the injection pump throttle shaft are difficult to find. The are only found on the E4OD tran trucks. I tried to buy two of them from my injection pump shop... Nope... they gave them to me free....
That was a deal I could not walk away from.... Will I ever need them... Probably not but someone else might and I will have them....

Great picture... thanks for that.... I have two of those "tabs".... Sure is a shame that it gets damaged like that in transit. Problem is how would you keep it from getting messed up... Maybe a small piece of plastic pipe taped to it.... Or remove it but that might get lost in the packing... Probably best to just remove it before you ship the pump....

If anyone needs one of these, let me know. I have one for sure, maybe two that will do me no good anymore.
Removing it is the best bet, but we try hard to preserve the original orientation on the shaft, to ensure that if you tired hard to mark where your TPS was, that you won't have to adjust anything when you get your pump back. I'm thinking I may be able to find a piece of PVC pipe that I can cut and fit over the thing to help prevent it from getting smacked. I suppose if it does, the PVC will just break off, but if it saves it from one impact, then that may be all that was required. The interesting thing, is I marked FRAGILE on the box, which for whatever reason I rarely do. I guess I figured since it was Christmas time, the drivers would assume it was a Christmas present. In retrospect, I'm thinking this is exactly what they thought, and wanted to wreck somebody's Christmas, since obviously they weren't enjoying the extra work to support it. I think some A-hole slammed this thing down as hard as he could. Bubble wrap can only do so much.
