The last couple of morning being it has gotten cold, 29 degrees, my e99 PSD lopes for just a little bit when I start it,what causes this? Smooths right out after maybe 30 sec or so. Thanks

what oil are you using? 5w-40 (I run rotella) does wonders for the HPO system

5-40 oil will stop the lopes. I had this happen with my 2004 6.0l. It started to lope when it got cold. I changed oil and the lopes stopped.

Dirty oil/dirty injectors is what does it, hotshot's stiction eliminator usually cleans it up.

Not always. At least on a 2004 6.0. I had made my first winter when I found out about 15-40 and loping. I had maybe 8,000 miles on it when I switched.

Imo, unless running a bypass filter or very high quality synthetic, 8k for a 6.0 is really pushing it. Just new oil would make it run better. The 6.0's have higher fuel dilution levels than a 7.3. (Not to mention comparing 6.0 to 7.3 injectors is apples to oranges, with the design differences in the spool valve)

Dave bought his truck new off the lot. I believe he is saying the truck only had 8000 miles on it total when he started using 5-40, not that he had 8000 on the oil change.

Yes Scott, 8,000 total miles since new. I would never go that far, on my truck, for oil change.
