Reducing the diameter is going to increase the velocity of the vapor, and potentially carry more oil out with it. I've been sucessfull reducing oil loss by keeping the RDT flow uphill as much as possible in a 1" hose.
I was going to run about 2' of 1" hose before reducing the size down. It'll run uphill to the catch can, and then uphill again from the catchcan before it heads down to the underside of the truck.
I tried several places locally today, but couldn't find the hose adapter I need. Looks like I've gotta order it from MSC.
