Ok IDI'ers... Although I not currently a IDI'er but have been in the past I thought I would let the basement folks know that I'm going to be in the Washington DC area (Silver Springs to be exact) on the night of Dec 31st. I'm going to be picking up some parts from another member on here.

This is power trip of sorts - meaning we are leaving on Saturday morning from here in Fort Wayne then will stay the night in DC area, then hoof it back to the Fort on Sunday.

I have gotten some emails from folks on STD from a comment I made in a post about me coming out and so I figured I would make an offical post about it to see who all would like to get together for supper that evening. Now because of it being New Years Eve we will avoid all bars but I'm thinking some type of sit down place that is not overly expensive but not McDonalds if you know what I mean.

So who is game? I know I will be there.

It will be myself and a buddy of mine (Aaron) he is a Diesel Fuel Powertrain Electrical Engineer with Delphi Automotive Systems so I'm sure the conversations could get interesting

i'll be working too, but that may not preclude me from making it
a little over 200 miles, 3.5 hours - what time & where are you thinking of? i may be able to slide out early
of course i'd just be some geek taking notes, but i'd still like to try to make it.

Mapquest says it's 9 hours of driving (now I will say we are looking at 10-11 because of the time of year - snow/ice possiblities). I plan on being at the hotel around 4-6 pm.
