Not all vacuum pedals are the same either... From left to right:

-1985 F150 manual 351W
-1986 F350 manual 6.9
-1986 F250 auto 6.9
-1988 F450 manual 7.5

(Note the shaft diameter difference in the auto pedal)

I'm really glad I posted this now. I wasn't going to. This is turning into quite a little repository of info.

Notice f150 pedal to brake pin locqtion too...lol

That particular F150 had the larger diameter but flatter style vacuum booster. The F250/F350 boosters were the smaller diameter but deeper kind. The F450 of course was hydroboost.

Certainly a lot more information than what I originally had known about. All great information and the pics are wonderful.

Here are some others... Hydro boost pedal out of a 95 superduty 460 E4OD on right, and a 92 f250, 460, E4OD on left

There are many different pedal configurations as I have stated before.

I dont want to clutter up the thread with non IDI related info, but I just finished relocating the pin on the brake pedal in my hydro-boosted ranger. Stock location was about 3" from the pivot. Now its at about 2-1/4". As per the pictures provided. Fellas, this makes a HUGE difference, and my new opinion is no hydroboost conversion is complete without the proper pedal.

Seeing hydro wasnt an option on the ranger no idea what it is like.

What axles tyres n gearing are you running?

Maybe I can famagle a GM setup and toss one onto my ramger

How u like 4bt?

Was thinking dumping 2.9 in favor of a stock 4cyl turbo diesel....in my ranger..

Love the 4bt its absolutely bored out of its mind in that little truck, the 2.9 doest even compare. The "stock" turbo diesel would be cool too. I've never driven one of those tho, no idea what they are like. I mean, anything to get away from vacuum and spark is the name of the game for me. LOL

Take any pics when you modified the pedal?

I'm jealous. I would love to build a 4x4, ext cab, 4BT, Ranger for the old lady (and something I wouldn't mind driving too).

I snapped one shot of the modified pedal.

1. Ground the weld off the back side of the pin .
2. Pressed the pin out
3. Drilled a New hole in the right place.
4. Pressed the pin back in
5. Took picture
6. Welded plug in old hole and ground smooth.
7. Re-Welded back side of pin in New location.
8. Fresh paint and 're-installed pedal.
