The most we have hauled was in a 73 F-250 2wd, 390 RC. We didn't have a trailer, everything had to go in the bed.

One load was firewood, It was cut and neatly stacked front to rear and side to side as high as the cab. It was fresh cut oak and "hard maple"

The other was a completely filled 550 gallon, in bed water tank. "Max" capasity was 550 gallons but that was at the full mark, we filled it till it was running out ot of the top. Figure 575 to 600 gallons of water. 8lbs per gallon X 600 Gallons = 4800lbs of water + the tank, platform and valving. Probally at least 5000lbs in the bed.....

A normal load in this truck was a 1972 IH Cub Cadet 149 with a tiller. We tilled gardens in the spring and that was in the bed every weekend for probally 2 months each spring. The tractor and tiller is 1000 - 1100 lbs. + supporting equiptment.

for about two years i hauled at work in a 1993 chevy 3500 454 two dozers and a backhoe.(not at the same time) the dozers were both case's. one was a 650H and the other a 650K. with the loaded truck and trailer they grossed close to 39,000lb. LOL

would go about 45-50mph with them but never on the highway as our jobs were all back country ohio and michigan jobs.... the dirt road hills in michigan were really fun.....

With my old 77 F250 4x4 long bed high boy 351m with 194k with the original clutch i hauled 2 cords of hackberry and a log splitter. One load in the bed above my roll bar and another load in a truck bed trailer with stake sides that also was a 3/4 ton with a hitch on that hauling a small log splitter. Early 70's trailer i believe. Holds a lot more wood than my 77 bed. Of course its nothin compared to what sum of you other guys haul. I got a pic somewhere I think.

I have crossed the scales weighing in at 16.800 (truck, car trailer in tow, Explorer on trailer, and utility trailer in the bed of the truck). The most weight hauled would be a toss up between 3 cords of wood or 4 cubic yards of soil that I hauled in the bed of my truck. I did all this with the truck listed in my sig that I have since sold. :(

I had a '88 F250 4x4 with a NA 6.9 that towed a loaded semi and trailer (79,800 lbs) down the parkway in Bend, OR at 25 mph to get him out of traffic so there wouldn't be an accident. Almost caused more wrecks with the on-lookers though... LOL.

the highest i've ever crossed the scales at was 31,800# but that was two grain wagons loaded with corn for the elevator. it was really fun pulling it in the snow. by the time i got there there was an inch of snow on the ground but she just kept pulling. there was a suburban with one wagon and he couldn't climb the hill for the pit. they had to get a tractor to push him up.

when they asked me if i needed a push i laughed and put her to the floor! LOL climbed right up there with the tires spinning at about 15mph(4LO). i was sure proud of her at that point!

Most in the bed.... well I guess that would be 2.5 yard of dirt. It was a little moist so that means she was pushing a smidgen over 5k - Used the Nanny Goat

Hauled via trailer - well that would be a huge skid steer with attachments and she was pushing a bit over 14k with the trailer. Used the E....

'95 f250 7.3 5 spd, highway gears, wall mart tires. - 7k+
20+5 goose - 7k (estimate, this thing is way stout)
11 round bails - 2 wide and a third row on top, someone else guessed 1500 each

30500

that truck made it to 260K miles. we got it with 95K on it. and that trailer is pretty much all it ever pulled. start hills at red line in 4th. get to the top midrange of second.

92 F250 4x4 IDI 5sp with 11ft Cab over camper. 11K weighted. Towed a Jeep XJ Cherokee on a tandem axle trailer. Guessing the trailer weight was 6000 but I was wrong on what I thought the truck weighted. Truck handled the load fine; however, the rear axle weight was exceeding the max load of the tires.

I went from Cincinnati to Terre-Haute In, 170 miles, with my 95 F-350 CC duallie PSD, pulling a 32' gooseneck loaded with 3\4" plywood and 24' lengths of 3x3 angle iron. Pulled across the scales in T.H. @ 32,000lbs. Still have that scale slip somewhere.
