Last month I pulled a 36ft gooseneck with a skidloader behind my 94 F350 IDI turbo. Truck is a Crew Cab, longbed, 4x4, 5spd with 4:10 gears. This was a pull of around 30 miles and it seemed to pull the load fine between 60 and 70 mph (my egts read at least 950 the whole time and I would let them creep to 1150 for very short uphill pulls). The weight of the trailer and skidloader was 19K lbs, and my truck weighs 7K... so my combined weight was 26K. I was proud of the old girl, although I wouldn't want to tow that load cross country, especially without trailer brakes!

With the 2005 F-350, we stopped at some scales loaded up with veg oil in the trailer and everything together weighed 29,000lbs. Truck was definitely a little slower but not much :sly Stopping was a little more difficult, that's for sure. Probably was way overloaded too :O Then we drove about 150 miles south with the oil.

I haven't hauled this with a pickup, But with a tandem L9000....Registered max weight was 26000 KGS with a 500 KG tolerance per axle....which brings my total allowable to 27500kgs...

I hauled a load 34630 kgs..76186 LBS...of hot asphalt. My tare that day was 11530kgs, so I had 23.1 metric tons on board.:sly

I AM the reason for DOT! Sorry guys:dunno

I found the pics I took of the weigh slip.....I wasn't kidding.

Biggest I had anything to do with- I personally designed the skid & motor base for this pump...3650 lb pump, 4000 lb 400 hp motor. Total weight was a tick under 12K on a truck that I believe can legally haul 12K!

a little hay

Several years ago I had a trailer identical to that for hauling hay. I loaded it up with about 250 bales or so. It was 4 runs above the neck of the trailer and I also had about 50 bales stacked on the ramps over the dove tail. This was all hauled by my '01 Duramax. Stock, the truck would have to down-shift to 3rd to crawl up a hill and on the 250 mile trip home I got about 9 or 9.5 MPG. After installing the Edge Juice I was able to hold in OD on most of the hills and got about 12 or 13 MPG over the same course.

I also used the Dmax and my '00 24-valve Cummins to tow my Featherlite 18' aluminum cattle trailer all the time. I loved pulling that trailer.

With the Dodge, I've towed a 36' cattle trailer with livestock and, most recently, the 32' Fleetwood Prowler 5th Wheel that had a dry empty weight of a little over 7800 LBS. I only had to tow it about 15 miles and crawled along at 45 MPH in 4th gear since the tires were very questionable.

An old multi-colored Ford diesel pulling a new BMW 5-series. Awesome.
BMW was stolen in the SF bay area. Got onto CHP's radar down in Riverside. Driver has nothing to loose so he tried to ditch the cops. hit a curb doing 80mph+ and tore out front suspension and subframe:eek: $19K worth of damage.;Sweet
