How About This For Timing

My MT1480 is giving me grief. So I have been looking at other options, something not used to death. I come across this. wondered if any one else has it?

Never seen one before, never heard of one either. It's cheep enough to buy n try....resell if doesn't work as you hoped...or return it......

Almost to cheap to be for "real". Also it forces lumy timing only, soooo.....

OK, now I found some older threads on here saying this type adapter is not all that. But on some other sites guys were really liking it. Very confusing!!

Maybe I can get my mt1480 back to working, OR get a Ferret Instruments adapter.

Order it and let everyone know already. Anyone notice the instructions tell us a 13/64" drill bit is the appropriate size to clean carbon out? Always finding info where I don't expect it.

How you going to get the cetane rating for your fuel? Or you going to just go with 20º?

If someone had a ferret AND one of those things, they could figure out what the heck the thing is actually timing at, but so far, a bunch of guys bought those and I dont think anyone has yet to figure out a functional timing point with it yet.

it "appears" as if it works just like a ferret adapter does,only instead of getting it's signal from the line,it's getting it right at the cyl.
it should "in theory" be slightly better than the ferret for getting a "spark signal" from.
i should grab one and check it out.
either way,you need a timing light with advance to actually set the timing.
this appears to be just like the ferret adapter,but just going about getting your pulse (spark signal for your timing meter) in the other manner is all.
it should work.just would need to understand you'd then be getting an ATDC pulse instead of a BTDC pulse right? so you'd need a timing light with retard instead lmao! hmm.i dunno.i should grab one and figure it out.
