I need a grill blanket for my brown truck. Does anyone know where to get one?
When it gets below -10 here our trucks will hardly see the normal line unless we put blankets on them. Last year I used a piece of card board, but that can be dangerous.
It would also be nice to pick up one or two for our 94's.

Well, I can say I dont like rodding them to much when its cold just cuse of the road conditions. But I've had a couple of our rigs get away from me when you first accelerate with them after only letting them warm up for a minute or two. They seem to want to take off like a bat out of hell when they are that cold.

It should, before 130 degrees is reached. A "Winter front" I believe it is called, must have existed because one of my parts trucks had one. Unfortunately, I felt the snaps on the grill were an eyesore, and I pitched it. Doh! :sorry:

I made one out of a piece of plexiglass and zip tied it to the grill. Dont forget to cut a hole for the hood relese! LOL
I see 180-190 on the gauge once it warns up. I'm thinking about taking the fan off completely the see if I can get a consistant 200-210

Huh, I never seem to have a problem. My 85 gets hot enough to roast You outta the cab. Even @ -30-40 F.

The '93 never sees snow. I just got her all tucked in for the winter, last weekend

my very own hell
I made my own grille blanket - I used one of these rubber-padded nylon mats that mechanics throw over car fenders to protect the paint when they gotta lean against it to work on the engine, I wrapped it around the grille and secured it with four bungee cords. It actually looks pretty decent, especially since tis bright-friggin red on a near-black truck :D

I have this thing called a cold front, I cant remember who makes it, they make bug guards and stuff mostly, but its just a bunch of black plastic pieces that pop into the holes in the grill. this is on a 93 truck though.
