Ok, i get it... been running oil for 6 yrs now with no issues , i filter my oil through 2 micron filter cloths , then it gets pumped through a Redline Veggie pump with a spin on 1551 napa filter, then pumped into the fuel tank in the truck which also has i napa gold racor filter and 2 stock fuel filters and lastly a small inline glass window filter before it hits the IP. One picture is veggie oil in the line and the other is diesel.

With the veggie oil did you do any fuel system modifications? I run the wmo just out of not having to heat it or specially treat it once onboard but I’m not the most informed on veggie
Running 100% veggie oil will almost require an in line fuel heater. I would say this is the best form of alternative fuel as well.
Running anything other than diesel fuel should always be centrifuged.
I ran WATF for years when I was a broke college student. Had a pretty good filtration system (but no centrifuge) and enjoyed not paying for fuel.....until it eventually bit me in the ass. Running WATF eventually coked my precups solid shut with rock hard carbon, blew out injectors & eventually ruined the IP. Not to mention cracked cylinder heads & precups because it runs so much hotter than diesel fuel.
It’ll save you gobs of money not paying for diesel....but don’t be surprised at what you see if you ever have to open up an engine that has been run on WMO/WATF. It’ll almost always ruin the cylinder heads. This is coming from both myself & Mel
I had a triple filter setup. I think it was something like 5 micron or something like that. Hard to remember it was a while ago. Centrifuging is the way to go, but doesn’t change the fact that WMO runs really hot. WMO typically has a 10-30% increase in btu’s compared to #2 diesel.
Yes, but i run WVO ... straight
Those are Autolites? I would be happier about the fact that they didn't swell more than the amount of carbon on them. I am guessing you replaced them with Beru's or something "non-Autolite".
Sounds to me like that's an EGT problem then... More BTUs = More power outputI had a triple filter setup. I think it was something like 5 micron or something like that.
