In order to keep from contaminating the crankcase oil with WMO I am looking into using gapless second ring on my 7.3 IDI
Upon inspection of my engine, apart only after 7000 miles after rebuild, I killed it by advancing the timing without a pulse meter.
I like to keep using the WMO and a gapless ring will keep combustion gases from getting into the crankcase as much as conventional gapped ring.
Just a thought, I like to leave the oil in the crankcase for extended drains so this is the direction I am planning on taking here real soon.
any thought's are appreciated...
