I noticed today when I put on my new Baldwin fuel filter that my filter housing along with the filter vibrate real bad, this cant be good on the filter. Anyone have a clue why it does this and a fix for it? Ive checked all the bolts there good and tight.

Here is a video of it.

The main mount bolts behind the vacuum pump and is kinda hard to get to. But if ya dont have the one that bolts to the intake it will vibrate like that.

If ya dont I think I have a spare one from the motor I just pulled from my truck.

its a little hard to tell but i dont see the bracket to the intake bracket either. i might have one to lying around. if it stays that way though it will stress crack the rest of the bracket, might be a good idea to check it now anyway.

Your missing a bracket. Find a wrecking yard and look at how this missing bracket fits. Then buy it or from someone here thats offered. BTW I hope thats not a Fram fuel filter.... Most here wont use anything with that name on it because of the low quality of the internals.

Well I got my bracket, thanks Jared! However I can not figure out how to **%& mount the thing. On my truck I dont see 4 lifting points, just two one on the front driver and one on the rear passenger. Every way I put it does not line up with anything, looks like the radiator hose is in the way.

That's really weird. None of the 6.9's that I have seen have this bracket, and they don't need it. I wonder what changed? Is it only the serp belt engines that need it? I hate that bracket. Get's in the way during my timing clinics. -cuss
