Anyone have any info on this type of heater. I might have to try something as I won't use the OEM block heater this Winter.

I had very good luck with them when I lived in Massachusetts.I had them in 5 trucks, the drivers loved them when they had to go out in the middle of the night to plow snow(quick warm up& faster defrost.Just make sure you install it with the water flow in the right direction, there are check valves in some of them.

I have one and it is wonderful. ;Sweet

Just make sure that you draw from the radiator drain port, so the heated water will go up and in the engine.

If it is mounted too high, the heat will be trapped and not nearly so much will make it into the block.

These things get REAL HOT; after a couple of hours, the temperature gauge will be at run temperature.

As already stated, they have check-valves; so, pay attention to direction of water travel.
