Hi, I have a 94 GMC 2500 that I use to tow an 18,000lb tri axle flatbed with. I only tow about 10,000 lbs max on it, but I would like to put an exhaust brake on it to help slowing the truck down. I didnt know if i needed and exhaust brake that is specifically calibrated for my engine, or if any butterfly-type exhaust brake valve would be ok without harming my engine. I have a 4" straight pipe up to 5" stacks on it along with other mods. If anyone has any information that would be helpful, it would be much apreciated.
Thanks! -Justin

I know we cant use them on the 6.9 or 7.3 IDI's, I think it has something to do with the valve springs.
I'm going to say that the 6.2-6.5 probably cant handle it either.
