I cant seem to track down the carrier fuel pump and was wondering if there is another brand that is good to use that will last longer than a year. I think someone told me holly makes a good pump? does it need a regulator?

carter p4070 is what I've had for a few years now, I've never had a single issue with it.

I ran a Holley Red for maybe 12 years. I had probably 150,000 miles on it when it failed. The next Red failed in short order. Seems the company is making these pumps in Mexico so the quality control slipped. Be warned. The Red is a noisy pump and keep a spare under or behind the seat just like you keep a spare tire. Sad to learn you got a bad pump. Those Carrier pumps have given hundreds of thousands of miles and hours running 24 7 365 on the refer trucks keeping our cold foods cold going across the country.
